Objects Developed by Pillar Receiving Awards at Construction of the Year 2019
On 17 April 2020 the winners of the eight nominations and Grand Prix of Latvian Construction of the Year 2019 were announced. The grand prix and the best construction of the year 2019 once again went to venue for culture Hanzas Perons developed by Pillar. In this competition 50 industry experts were judging more than 90 completed constructions in Latvia in 2019.
The head judge Normunds Grinbergs, President of Latvian Association of Constructors, says: “The objects nominated in this competition are reflecting the industry trends. And this year we can certainly conclude that every nominee assessed by the judges, regardless of its size, is significant one for its location and use. Therefore the owners, architects, designers, builders and users of those objects can be proud of how highly important and qualitative their objects are recognized to be.”
Industry experts have also assessed the infrastructure works done by Pillar, recognising utility lines constructions at 2 Mihaila Tāla Street, including the pumping station and the water reservoir, as a runner-up in nomination “Engineering Construction”. The winner in this nomination is reconstructed power line Ventspils-Tume-Imanta in Kurzeme circle.
These awards are a proof of high professionalism of all the parties involved – our colleagues and more than 40 business partners. This is also now a responsibility to maintain the quality levels in future projects as well.
As reported earlier, this year in March Hanzas Perons won GRAND PRIX in nomination of the most significant building of last year in competition “Latvian Annual Construction Award 2019”, while in February it was named the Culture Venue of the year at the award Kilogram of Culture 2019, organized by a public mass media company.
